I have tried to install Matlab 2023a and 2023b on MAC OS Sonoma (14.1.2). My computer has a 2.4 GHz 8-Core Intel Core i9. In both cases, when I start Matlab, it gets stuck on the widow associated to the initial boot up phase. Task manager shows that the CPU useage drops to almost zero, after which nothing happens.
I have followed instructions I found on blogs, i.e., deleting files in Library/Application Support/MathWorks, without success.
Please advise how to proceed with this.

  1. MATLAB R2023a is not supported for macOS Sonoma (14). See the system requirement for R2023a Mac.
  2. For R2023b, you may need to share further information to investigate the issue. You can reach out to Install Support team. Install Support team is incharge of helping normal initialization of MATLAB as well.

In any case, 2023b with Sonoma has a lot of issues (mine freezes after a few times I open/close windows.)
So I suggest waiting until the code is more stable
