How do we determine length and width of Pack object in Battery Builder?

3 views (last 30 days)
Hi all,
I was working on Battery Builder from Simscape and could not find any function to return the width and length of the whole battery pack. I can try to export them to fig, but it is not accurate.
The "Read-Only Section" only has
  • mass
  • volume
  • capacity
  • energy

Hi Son,
It seems you are looking to accurately ascertain the dimensions, specifically the length and width, of a battery pack. According to the documentation found at https://www.mathworks.com/help/simscape-battery/ref/simscape.battery.builder.pack.html , there doesn't appear to be a dedicated function that provides these measurements directly.
Furthermore, in the example detailed at https://www.mathworks.com/help/simscape-battery/ug/build-battery-model-with-multi-module-cooling-plate.html while it mentions a module width of 0.3, the figure shows does not accurately show the width as 0.3.
Am I correct in understanding that this is the issue you're addressing?

Hello Son,
Say you have a battery object called Battery. You can access these properties by typing:
Battery.XExtent
Battery.YExtent
Battery.ZExtent
Please let me know if this solves your problem.
Best regards,
Javier
