Nyquistplot saveas don't generate vector graphics (.svg)

1 view (last 30 days)
Hello everyone,
I want to export a nyquistplot() as a vector graphic (.svg) using the saveas(figure1,name,'svg') command.
The command creates an .svg file, but when I open the file I realize that it is not a vector graphic.
When I use the same saveas(figure1,name,'svg') command in combination with the normal plot() command, no problems occur and I get a vector graphic.
Does anyone know why the nyquistplot() does not export a vector graphic?

The reason why the Nyquist plot is not exporting as a vector graphic in the .svg format is likely due to the way MATLAB renders the Nyquist plot internally.
  • Instead of .svg, try exporting the Nyquist plot to other vector graphic formats supported by MATLAB, such as .eps (Encapsulated PostScript) or .pdf. These formats may handle the underlying graphics objects of the Nyquist plot differently, potentially resulting in a true vector graphic representation.
Thanks!
