Matlab asks me to sign in when I'm offline

Matlab asks me to sign in when I'm offline, as this is impossible I can't use Matlab while offline.
I can use Matlab no problem when I'm online and it does not ask me to sign in.
When I'm offline a Sign In window appears with this error:
Unable to contact login services. There may be a problem with your internet connection, or the service may be temporarily unavailable. If the problem persists contact MathWorks technical support.
Any fix for this?

In the upper right corner of your command window, there is a sign-in area. Try logging out of there.
This sign-in mostly affects the Add-On explorer. I am not sure if it affects MATLAB Drive.
Just to be clear, is this happening with a local installation of MATLAB, or maybe you are actually trying to use MATLAB Online, which one actually needs to be online to use.
Yes, Matlab is installed locally on my machine.
I have also tried to sign out and sign in again, but the problem persist, when I'm online I have no problem to access Matlab, when I'm offline it asks me to sign in.

The fix for this is now live. Apologies for the inconvenience caused. If your machine has been online, it should have the fix already. If MATLAB still won't launch when you are offline, you can manually get the fix by (temporarily) getting yourself online and by running the installer from https://mathworks.com/products/matlab-drive.html#matlab-drive-connector (you can exit the MATLAB Drive setup wizard when it appears if you don't want to set it up - the fix will have already been applied by that point).

Are you using a shared license -- part of a license pool? Like where your organization has a group of licenses (less than the number of workers) and you need to "check one out" to use MATLAB?
Did you see the part where it said "If the problem persists contact MathWorks technical support."? What happened when you called them yesterday?

I'm using a license from my university, I don't think the problem is that there are less licenses than the number of workers, because the problem appears only when I'm offline, if I go online I can use matlab without any problem. Also this happens only with release R2023 and R2024, with the R2021 version I can use matlab even offline, and the licensce is the same.
For the techincal support, I opened a case yesterday and waiting for an answer.
It could be that your local machine needs to contact the university license server and it's offline it can't do that. I'm not sure of the exact details. Can your classmates run MATLAB offline?
I asked and another guy had the same problem that he resolved by using a previous version (R2022). I guess I will stay with R2021 for the time being. Ty for your time answering.
