Why do I receive License Manager Error -9?

I installed the matlab R2024a trial on linux and followed the activation instructions at https://ww2.mathworks.cn/matlabcentral/answers/99457-how-do-i-activate-matlab-or-other- mathworks-products but still getting license error, I need help. Thanks

First delete

/home/hta/.matlab/R2024a_licences/*
/usr/local/MATLAB/R2024a/licenses/license.dat
/user/local/MATLAB/R2024a/licenses/trial_12217714_R2024a.lic

then execute ~/Downloads/matlab_R2024a_Linux/Activate and enter the trial license information

then run MATLAB again.

I don't see the activation file, can you be more specific?

In that case, run MATLAB and it will complain about activation and will run the activation client. Once the activation client is finished, you will need to run MATLAB again.
