Can I import a model made in SolWorks 2024 into SimScape

I purchase SolidWorks 2024 release so that I could model 3D machines and import into SimScape. But MATLAB help for SimScape plugin says that SolidWork support is for 2001 to 2021 versions. What should I do now?

Hey Samina,
The SolidWork support is limited to 2021 release and the later versions are currently not supported as mentioned by you and stated in the following documentation: https://www.mathworks.com/help/smlink/ug/installing-and-linking-simmechanics-link-software.html
Based on a quick internet search, I have found that the SolidWorks files have been backward compatible: https://blogs.solidworks.com/tech/2020/06/understanding-solidworks-file-compatibility.html#:~:text=Backward%20Compatibility
I would recommend you to check if you could export your model files in a file format supported by SolidWorks 2021 release. If you can directly export your model in a 2021 release format, then you should ideally be able to use it in Simscape.
I hope this would help!
