Matlab installation on apple silicon coming up blank

I recently got a license for the 2026a prerelease through my university, but when I try to install it the installer comes up blank like this:

Any ideas?

There is no MacOS Intel version of the pre-release. The last version that supported Intel was R2025b.

If you try to run the pre-release launcher on MacOS Intel then you get told that the application cannot be opened.
