How to remove the GUI panel sidebars

Switched to R2026A today, from 2023B. The GUI has some ulgy sidebars with shortcut icons in it. How to get rid of them? They just take extra space to the GUI from both left, right and bottom side. I don't want that, cannot find a way to reduce their size or completely remove. Moving the icon somewhere else moves the whole panel, not what I want either, just want a maximused visiblity, we do not need useless sidebars.

As of R2025a, MATLAB has a new desktop (See Overview). If you want to know ways to configure this new desktop please see this link.

This was unhelpful since it does not adress the toolstrip band dimension/removal
You can limit the panels to being on one side with the two column layout. I can request development to add this feature. I know others have complained about the new desktop layout as shown in this MATLAB Answers: Matlab's new appearance after R2025a hinders its usability. I just wanted you to know what can currently be done.
