Building a GUI for a BeagleBone Black using MATLAB?

Ideally, I would like to run a stand-alone GUI MATLAB script on a BeagleBone Black.
Here's what I have:
>MATLAB R2015a for Windows 64-bit
>BeagleBone Black with embedded Linux
>Adafruit 2.8" TFT LCD touchscreen
I need to know if this is possible. If it is, some tips about how to get started would be wonderful. If it's not, what would be the easiest way to build a GUI application that could run on a BeagleBone Black? I am a beginner to all of this, so any information would be greatly appreciated.

Hey Ryan, Have you found out, by any chance, if this is possible? I am looking for something similar.
