How can I access 32-bit Microsoft Access databases using the 64-bit MATLAB database toolbox

With the impending end of 32-bit MATLAB updates at the end of this year, I am in need of a workaround to allow me to use the MATLAB Database Toolbox to connect to 32-bit Microsoft Access databases from the 64-bit version of MATLAB. There is unfortunately no possibility that my organization will upgrade to 64-bit versions of Office - my only option is some method that allows cross-platform access to Access.
Does anybody know how this task can be accomplished?
