why i use trainlm function i get out of memory error?

hi I want to use neural network toolbox for training mnist and when i use trainlm with 50000 training data i get out of memory error. I use a simple network with one hidden layer and 30 hidden units. please help me. and other problem is traindgm function. it execute more slowly for me
