How to interface a fingerprint device into matlab.

Presently i am working on a project of fingerprint recognition and matching. For this i am integrating an fingerprint device(digital persona). Question is how use this device in order to read the fingerprint image from the scanner and use in my project. Any help or link related to this is welcome.

We do not know. The people who ask about interfacing fingerprint devices never seem to have any information about which make or model, or what interface the device uses.
So are you telling that there is no solution to interface an Finger Print device into matlab?
If you name a particular fingerprint scanning device, we could get a lot further.
I notice that you have named Digital Persona, which used to exist as a company but is now crossmatch.com . When I look around at information about interfacing fingerprint scanners, I see information about a device made by one company that was bought by another company named UPEK and now it appears that line is owned by crossmatch.com which gives me some information about how to interface those devices, but at the same time makes clear that the other crossmatch.com devices probably work a very different way.
It appears that a number of the devices that were formerly under the crossmatch.com Digital Persona line do fingerprint processing in hardware and are possibly incapable of transferring fingerprint images. So we are going to have to know the exact model of crossmatch.com Digital Persona device in order to locate the information appropriate to it.
Unfortunately the SDKs from crossmatch.com / digitalpersona.com require registration to obtain.
Fine thank you. I will look at those SDKs and let you know.
At last found out a solution. When you purchase a device like fingerprint in my case, that product consists of a kit consisting of all the SDKs and required information. So please contact your vendor for that.
My investigations at the time made clear that getting the fingerprint image was impossible for many fingerprint scanners, but possible for others (especially older models.) If we had been told a model name, we would have been able to investigate...
It seems you were able to solve this problem, well am facing this problem now, please can you explain how you were able to interface it together. I have got the scanner but no idea on what to do next.
How do you know if you are using the same model as the original poster? As I explained above, Digital Persona is used for several different models, some with quite different interfaces.
