I want to ask how can i create a simulation of propagation of an ultrasound wave used for medical imaging in a custom phantom so i can try to beamform the receive echos. I have already done a beamforming code and i want to try it. How can i create a pulse wave with frequency of 3MHz, transmit it via an 128 element line array and how can i create a custom phantom (with scatterers and reflectors-can be lines or circles-) so i can get receive echoes and then try to beamform them.
Thank you.

Hi Christos, I wanted to know if you managed to do it on matlab as I want to do pretty much the same thing.
Thank you !

Hi christos you can use the K-wave MATLAB tool box which covers pretty much everything you want. (http://www.k-wave.org/)
Bradley Treeby from UCL is the person you have to closely follow for updates on modelling.
