What is arduinoio.LibraryBase?

I am trying to create a library that I can access on Matlab to control the LCD display on an arduino. The part that I am caught on is LibraryBase. Is it an actual thing? Or what do I replace this with in my own code? Is it just the folder that I keep my custom addons in? Thanks for the help.

Hi Brandon,

Arduinoio.LibraryBase is an abstract class for deriving Arduino add-on libraries. It is present in the Arduino Support. You can refer to the following link for more description and also an example:
