Is Matlab support for the Raspberry Pi coming to linux?

Hi,

Matlab support for the Raspberry Pi seems awesome! http://www.mathworks.com/hardware-support/raspberry-pi-matlab.html

Is there a fundamental reason it isn't supported on linux platforms? It seems to be built on a web server. It should be pretty easy to checkbox : "Allow for linux".
