Where is the right File location for reinstalled Microsoft visual C++ 2010 redistributable packages x64/x86?

So I just installed the Windows SDK 7.1 and .NET Framework 4 for my windows7 x64 os and for the SDK7.1 install to be able to complete I had to uninstall Microsoft visual C++ 2010 Redistributable x64 and Microsoft visual C++ 2010 Redistributable x86.
Afterwards I went and downloaded the new x64 and x86 apps, but after reinstalling/repairing them they auto saved to a "Downloads" file. Is there some file or location in specific that they need to be saved to for them to work correctly?
