Cannot activate MATLAB on new computer

1 view (last 30 days)
Hello,
I had MATLAB installed on my computer (R2012a Student version) for some time, but a few weeks ago my entire operating system was destroyed, wiping it out. Now I have a new OS, I tried downloading and installing MATLAB again, but I cannot activate it, because "Error -2,006: No more activations are available for this user". I agree that I only need one computer activated at a time, but how can I deactivate my old MATLAB if the OS is completely gone?

https://www.mathworks.com/licensecenter and click on Activations and Installations. Select your license, and remove the old activation label.

Worked perfectly. I knew it had to be a simple solution, thanks.
