How can I get data from nasa via ftp?

Hello everyone
I want use matlab get modis data from <ftp://ladsweb.nascom.nasa.gov/allData/6/MYD021KM/>. But when I use
f = ftp('ftp://ladsweb.nascom.nasa.gov/allData/6/MYD021KM/')
Matlab has error. such as
Error using connect (line 18)
Could not open a connection to "ftp", port "NaN".
Error in ftp (line 75)
connect(h)

use .cdf format in which NASA offer its product. this format is easily readable to matlab

search more on google and researchgate about how to proccess .nc files in matlab

I got the same problem. I bet it has something to do with the ':' in the url, since after the ':' usually should come the portnumber. How to solve this is still unclear to me.

Got it! Start with this: f = ftp('ladsweb.nascom.nasa.gov') and then use mget in order to download the data

but then how do you go to specific folder and download a particular file from that folder
