Can you get more syntax colours ?

I'm a beginner to intermediate user of MATLAB.

Fantastic software, but I want to know if you can change the syntax colouring to include more colours ? For example, I often view the matlab scripts in Atom with a package that understands matlab code because they have more colour variations in the code and I often find it easier to read, understand & debug.
