Improve image quality in live script or in publish

5 views (last 30 days)
Hi there, When importing image files to a live script or when including them in a published document (using the editor in earlier versions of Matlab), the quality of the graphics looks horrible. I can hardly recognize any details. A workaround in the editor was to use html code to include the image in the published file and use a high resolution image scaled down to fit the page;
<html>
<IMG SRC="../image namne.png" WIDTH=500>
</html>
Is that possible ein live scripts? Or, can I modify the import settings of images during publish or for live scripts?

I have observed that the quality of imported images in live script has increased a lot in newer versions of MATLAB.
Also, starting from R2023b, MATLAB provides an option to change figure resolution in a published document. Kindly follow the below mentioned steps:
  1. In toolstrip, navigate to Live Editor --> File --> Export --> Export to PDF
  2. Click "Show more" to expand the export options
  3. Update Figure resolution as per requirement.
  4. Alternatively, this setting can be changed via the export function input argument FigureResolution as mentioned in this documentation: https://www.mathworks.com/help/matlab/ref/export.html
I hope this answers your query!
