It might be the case that the Environment Variables 'BLAS_VERSION' is defined and it make MATLAB to use whatever the library specified by 'BLAS_VERSION'. If the specified library does not exist, you get an error :"Error using norm BLAS loading error: mkl_custom.dll: The specified module could not be found."
You can check if the variable is defined by executing the following command on MATLAB
getenv('BLAS_VERSION')
If the result is some library that you are not aware of, you can just delete it and restart MATLAB to see if the issue is resolved.

Hi Kruptal,
A BLAS Loading error can occur when the mkl.dll file for the corresponding function that you are using is corrupted. Replacing the mkl.dll file with a working version or re=installing MATLAB may resolve your issue.
Thanks,
Farouk
