Not a MATLAB question, ask it on a site about mathematics.
Sir, but eig(A,A+B) is a MATLAB syntax

Why worry? As you have MATLAB in hand, pick two matrices A,B and check it your self.

If A and B are symmetric and either A or B is a multiple of eye(N), it will be true.
