Variable width histogram and curve on the same graph?

I want to make a hostogram of 6-7 data and each have different width. Further, as I have converted the curve into histogram. So, I want to make such that curve, variable width histogram on the same graph. Kindly tell me how I make it

Call histogram with unequally-spaced edges.

x = 49*rand(1, 1e4);
histogram(x, (1:7).^2)

To plot a histogram and another curve on the same axes, look at the hold function.
