How do I remedy the installation error (No such file or directory)?

6 views (last 30 days)
I recently purchased the student version of MATLAB R2016b for Mac OS. Upon installing, I chanced upon this error. When I click "Yes", the pop-up just shows again. When I click "No", the installation is cancelled. Did anyone have this problem when installing for Mac? My OS is currently OSX El Capitan Version 10.11.6.

Hi Katrina,
Download the installer again as your installation files may be corrupted.
It seems like the installer is unable to connect to MathWorks servers. Please make sure your internet connection is available and that all software and hardware firewalls have been disabled before retrying your request.

Hi Katrina,
I too am running into this problem, except with the file: /Matlab 2016b/1/archives/common/bde_common_1469209335.enc. I'm also on OS X El Capitan 10.11.6. I tried doing as suggested by Swaroop and downloaded the installer again, but that didn't help and gives the same error. I definitely have enough hard disk space and Administrator access. The error occurs when the installer is trying to install the Bioinformatics Toolbox 4.7.
No Matlab R2016b for me :(

Hello, I was able to install it by deleting all the previous files, and ensuring that the zip file was downloaded and uncompressed in the same folder. It works fine for me now. Hope it will work for you too.
