Dear all
I've got a standalone license for Matlab r2012b on my windows machine. I've now changed to a Linux based environment and I'd like to have matlab on it. My institution has only the r2012a iso for UNIX systems. Can I stil use my license for the b version?
Cheers

Yes, license for a version also authorizes using any previous version.
However if you go back sufficiently far you might need to get Mathworks to generate a license file for you. I do not recall at the moment which version the license structure changed.
Note: if you are changing computers you might need to deactivate and reactive on the new host
