Read encoder using arduino mega and simulink

Hello, I am programming an Arduino Mega as target hardware with Matlab simulink, and would like to know a way to use interrupts in my program, I need them to read a encoder. No arduino bloc of the support package allow such a thing

How would the Simulink know that it is being interrupted? Generally the same mechanism can be used to signal a triggered subsystem.
