Hi,
I got this error when running MATLAB on SGE, especifically with MATLAB installed in the nodes.
I called Mathworks who were friendly and helpful (Great that this service exists!).
But it turned out I got a response from my cluster admin before Mathworks... the problem was that I was not requesting enough memory (you apparently need a minimum of 12G if you're starting matlab from the cluster nodes!). I thought this might be helpful to someone else :)

Like it says, submit it to the Mathworks. They will respond. The causes of bad crashes like this are so varied, and often involve some internal code that we volunteers do not have access to. That's why you need to contact them. In my experience, they usually say the crash is related to a video adapter driver but I don't know/think that will be the case for you.

You can send an email to support@mathworks.com with your question and the results of
>> ver
but I think the preferred method (for me as a user) is to call them on the phone and talk to a real, live, friendly person.

The route to a solution was already given in the other answer: https://www.mathworks.com/matlabcentral/answers/335680-matlab-terminate-disabled-no-sandbox-or-build-area-path#answer_263236
In short, CALL THEM on the phone and ask them to fix it for you.
