I want to edit the simscape/electronics/sensors resolver model and save it as a alternate version of the resolver block. How do I do that?
Basically, I want a resolver block where the quadrature windings are driven (inputs) and the primary winding is the output (the reverse of the normal application).

You can maybe check out the following video which shows how to create custom components from already existing blocks:
The following links also describe how to create custom components in Simscape using the Simscape language: http://blogs.mathworks.com/simulink/2009/09/25/custom-components-in-physical-models/ https://www.mathworks.com/help/physmod/simscape/creating-custom-components.html
