I have multiple digraphs created representing a nodal system over an entire year at an hourly timestep. Is it possible to animate a digraph in Matlab? im2frame requires uint8 or double...

I'm assuming you have a set of digraphs and want to animate on the same figure over time.
You can do it by adding the below codes between different digraph functions.
drawnow
n = 1 % n is the time in seconds you want to pause between different digraph
pause(n)
Now, the figure will update over time.
Please see reference for function drawnow and function pause.
