Why does the rcosfir() parameter T have no effect on result?

The 4th parameter T (symbol period), seems to have no effect at all for the rcosfir function. Why is this?
figure; plot(rcosfir(.2, 3, 12, 1/9600, 'sqrt') - rcosfir(.2, 3, 12, 1, 'sqrt')) % difference is negligible
And or this example, it's literally equal:
isequal(rcosfir(.2, 3, 12, 1/2400, 'sqrt'), rcosfir(.2, 3, 12, 1/9600, 'sqrt')) % exactly equal
What am I misunderstanding about this parameter?
Thanks.

Hello, because the inpulse response generated from the rcosfir() function is independent from input signal sampling period (T).
