How to link Git remote repository to Simulink Project

11 views (last 30 days)
I am having trouble finding how to add a remote repository to my 'version control system' for a simulink project. I found I can add the repository as a submodule but this doesn't work for my purposes because I would like to link the entire project to a repository and not just a subfolder.
I would really appreciate any help here.
Kind regards,
Chris

Hi Christopher,
To create a Simulink Project with Git inside the main project folder, try the following steps:
  1. Open MATLAB, click New and select Simulink Project in the dropdown
  2. On the left side of the Start Page window, select Source Control
  3. Select Git in the Source control integration dropdown window
  4. Enter the remote path to the Git repository in the Repository path field. For example, https://mygitwebsite.com/myusername/myrepository.git
  5. Select a location for the project in the Sandbox field
  6. Click Retrieve
From here, the Git repository should be cloned and linked to the root directory.
