Calculate samples Y(jw_k) by typing Y=fftshift(tau*fft(y))
>> syms t; >> format compact >> x=symfun(exp(-2.*abs(t)),t); >> y=symfun(x(t-5),t); >> tau=0.01; >> T=10; >> t=[0:tau:T-tau]; >> N=T/tau; >> Y=fftshift(tau*fft(y)) Undefined function 'fft' for input arguments of type 'symfun'.
Not sure what I am doing wrong, I am using Matlab 2016a.

the error is saying that it can't use fft for syms type
