Give a value to a variable of your choice and then select the same variable in the workspace (double-click) to see it in "Variables" (step3). Click on the plot menu and plot it.

thank you for your answers. I did these steps and plot types are working right except plot function.I mean 'pie' or 'area' or 'bar' functions are working but 'plot' function is not. Can you help me about this?

When I try in R2017b, if I click in "workspace" on the name of a variable that is a scalar, then none of the plot types are selectable, but if I click on the name of a variable that is a non-scalar numeric value, then all of the plot types are selectable.
