Preferences/settings for sending user experience information to MathWorks?

Where is the MATLAB preference to enable/disable sending user experience information to The MathWorks? During installation, R2017b asks to send MATLAB user experience information to TMW. The installer links to a FAQ page that says the setting can be changed after installation via MATLAB preferences, but I can't find where it is in R2017b (either in the Preferences window or in any MATLAB settings files).

I have the problem that this preference setting is not saved during session restart of MATLAB R2021a. Can someone confirm this problem or is there a solution?

I have the same problem: checkbox state is not saved and becomes active after Matlab R2021a up3 restart, even though user_experience_information_faq says "you can opt out at any time". Looks like term "to opt out" has a different meaning in Mathworks?

Weird. My installation of R2017b doesn't have that option listed at all:

I have the same issue as Joe V in MATLAB 2019b, there is no option called "Help Improve MATLAB"

What release are you using and on which operating system are you using it?

Currently R2020b Update 5, Win10 x64 20H2. But note that I have had this problem going back to R2017b.
