Warning regarding pathdef.m when installing Arduino support package

Hey everyone,
I am working on a project where I need the Arduino package. unfortunately, even though I download the package, Matlab tells me can't find Arduino package. Instead I get the following warning:
Warning: Unable to save path to file '/Applications/MATLAB_R2016b.app/toolbox/local/pathdef.m'.
You can save your path to a different location by calling SAVEPATH with an input argument that
specifies the full path. For MATLAB to use that path in future sessions, save the path to
'pathdef.m' in your MATLAB startup folder.
> In savepath (line 169)
In matlabshared.supportpkg.internal.ssi.savePath
I tried several things to change the location of my pathdef.m file but it tells me that I can't because of read only file or no admin rights. I checked and I have write&read rights. I have no idea what else to try. Please help. Thanks.
