[Ubuntu 14.04] OS Generic Video installed, NO Linux Video adaptor found! (Matlab 2017a)

Closed: MATLAB Answer Bot on 20 Aug 2021

I used supportPackageInstaller to install "OS Generic Video", but for some reason 'linuxvideo' is still not to be found.

I already:

The adaptor exists in the SupportPackages folder, but Matlab can't recognize it.

Any suggestions? (I read all the related posts, but no solution so far)
