How to remove electrical noise from torque signal?
Show older comments
I have a signal generated from torque meter. When the torque is small,it sometime reads negative torque which is not appropriate. I would like to eliminate the spikes in the signal. I thought of implementing butterworth filter but I am not sure how to select the cutoff frequency (fc) also I am not sure if the filters would help me to remove electrical noise. At this point it is not possible for me to make changes to my hardware to fix the issue. Having said that I am looking for options to post- process signals after data acquisition. I have attached the signal collected over 6 seconds at the rate of 1280/second.

Can you attach your data in a mat file?

If you have solved the prblem, please help!
thanks
