Plotting input data of DOA algorithm blocks in "Beamscan and MVDR Direction of Arrival Estimation on a ULA"
Show older comments
Hello,
I am using "Beamscan and MVDR Direction of Arrival Estimation on a ULA". It creates two random signals with desired angles that we enter as input. Then matrices of amplitude and angles go to the Narrowband Rx Array block. My question is what are output of this block? Are they matrices of data only including amplitude of signals and direction of signals? Or they have the signals and time delay of signals? How can I plot or see data at the output of the Narrrowband Rx Array used in DOA structure?
Thanks

Are you referring to the output after the Narrowband Rx Array block? If so, they are matrices of complex signal that includes delay in it. Because it is a narrowband system, the delay is approximated by a phase shift.
You can use Time Scope to plot the output signal from the Narrowband Rx Array block.

How many elements do you have in the array. The original model has 10 elements so if you hook up a Time Scope as you did here, you should see 10 lines. Now I only see four lines. So I'm wondering if you've changed the number of elements.

That makes sense, there is indeed two complex signals and 4 lines. However, because the two signal are conjugate to each other, two real parts are identical. I think this is what you see.
