Controlling an Stepper Motor

Hi,
I want to control a step motor translations stage (LTS150/M - 150 mm Translation Stage with Stepper Motor from Thorlabs). Any idea how I can do this with MATLAB only.
Which module would be able to do this? How can I connect with the motor? There are some Kinesis and APT existing programs that thorlab provide to controll the motor. Kinesis is based on .NET and APT on ActiveX (not sure exactly what that means).
I also want to control a camera on this translation stage.
