Running
  • polyspace-report-generator
  • polyspace-report-generator -h
  • polyspace-report-generator -generate-results-list-file
All cause a "polyspace-report-generator.exe has stopped working - A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Please close the program" windows error message to appear. There is no other output on the command line.
I'm running windows 10 and Matlab 2016b.

Hi Jason,
When encountering issues with polyspace-report-generator crashing on Windows 10, there are several steps you can take to diagnose and potentially resolve the problem. Here are some suggestions:
1. Check System Requirements
Ensure that your system meets the necessary requirements for running Polyspace with MATLAB 2016b. Although Windows 10 is generally supported, double-check the compatibility and any specific requirements or updates needed.
2. Update MATLAB and Polyspace
Ensure that you have installed the latest updates and patches for MATLAB 2016b and Polyspace. These updates can fix known bugs and improve compatibility with newer operating systems.
3. Run as Administrator
Try running the polyspace-report-generator as an administrator. Right-click on the command prompt or batch file you are using to execute the command and select "Run as administrator."
4. Check Environment Variables
Ensure that all necessary environment variables are correctly set. This includes paths related to MATLAB and Polyspace. Incorrect paths can lead to execution issues.
5. Check for Corrupt Installation
The installation of Polyspace might be corrupt. Consider reinstalling Polyspace:
  • Uninstall Polyspace.
  • Reinstall it, ensuring that you follow all installation instructions carefully.
6. Check for Conflicting Software
Some software might conflict with Polyspace. Disable any antivirus software temporarily to see if it resolves the issue. Also, check for any other software that might interfere with Polyspace's execution.
7. Review Logs and Event Viewer
Check for any log files generated by Polyspace for error messages or clues. Additionally, review the Windows Event Viewer for any related error messages that might provide more insight into the crash.
Hope this helps.

Hi Arushi,
I've noticed that some of your recent posts about Polyspace seem to rely heavily on AI-generated content, such as ChatGPT.
While these tools are incredibly helpful, I believe that a personal expertise and insights are invaluable to this community.
Using AI is a good idea but I have observed that ChatGPT answers about Polyspace are too general and can even be misleading.
