Has anyone used Matlab on the Rescale platform for cloud computing?

I am looking to move my processes to the cloud for faster and more reliable computing. It was recently recommended to check out Rescale, a cloud computing simulation platform, and they thankfully carry Matlab. It is BYOL.
Has anyone used this platform? Would you recommend it?
Does is support an academic license?
