fmincon-Optimization running. Error running optimization. Not enough input arguments.What do I do??

I am using method of lines for solving system of pde's, when I use fmincon to minimize my kinetic parameters, I often get the above mentioned error.Kindly help.

Based on the very detailed and numerous information that you have given us about your problem, it is safe to say that you have not given enough input arguments.

Perhaps you have given a function name in a place where a handle is expected. For example,
integral(sin, 0, 2)
is not valid and instead you need
integral(@sin, 0, 2)
