How to apply Satelitle Imagery over DTED?

I have NGA downloaded DTED and CIB05 imagery. Using the article Overly Multiple Layers on the MATLAB website I have successful created a 3D Digital Terrain Model. I am struggling to drape the CIB05 (.i22 format ) or .jp2 over the 3D terrain. I am trying at all cost to avoid sourcing an online URL based images. Based on my last attempt imread read the jp2 image but geoshow didn't like it. Any idea on which function to use for the .i22 CIB05 images and how to get them to display on a 3D terrain model?
