USING SSIM.index code in matlab to compare raw and decoded videe

I am currently doing a project comparing three video codec rate-distortion performance. I am using PSNR and SSIM to check video quality. I have completed the ascpect for PSNR. I have no clue/understanding of the code in the popular website below: https://ece.uwaterloo.ca/~z70wang/research/ssim/
Plese i need urgent help on how to use the code-SSIM.index in matlab, what to change and how to apply it. I am using this video sequence 4CIF, 300 Frames at resolution of 704x576 at 30fps. Urgently need help.
Any software i can use to play the decoded video and see the frames playing?
