Is it possible to run Matlab and Simulink on a Linux machine ?
If so, are there any limitations ?
Will I see a significant improvement in simulation time ?

Yes, you can run MATLAB and Simulink from Linux Machine. For compatibility of MATLAB and Simulink with Linux OS, you can refer to software requirements link - https://in.mathworks.com/support/requirements/matlab-system-requirements.html
