Matlab 2019b doesn't start up on macos mojave

I just installed Matlab 2019b and I see the splash screen. It loads up but then freezes with the rainbow spinner and doesn't load at all. Please help.

Is there any dialog box related to the license of the product?

Normally, MATLAB checks for the license everytime it opens, so if there is no valid licence, it stops and show the warning.

verify your licence in the account once.

It’s a known bug and our developers are aware about it and will try to fix it in future releases

To find what error is causing MATLAB not to function launch MATLAB from a terminal window using a command such as the one below.

/Applications/MATLAB_R2019b.app/bin/matlab

This should output the License Manager Error, which you can use to determine the root of the issue.
