how flip the signal as below?

2 views (last 30 days)
X=[1 2 -5 4 -7 8 9 -4 -5 6 1 -2 3 -6 ]
I want to program the following using "if"
If the value of Xp is higher than "0", pass the signal
But if the value of Xp is less than "0", make it equal to "0"
If Xn is less than "0", pass the value
If Xn is higher than "0", make it equal to "0"
After finishing the program
flip the negative signal
Pass the flip negative signal successively after the positive signal

" If the value of Xp is higher than "0", pass the signal ......
If Xn is less than "0", pass the value.... "
Above 2 statements are exactly same if I assume
Xp = X;
Xn = -X;
If these statements are same then, why do you need to "filp" the signal ?
