        See if this does what you want: 
y = ...;                                    % Choose A Vector
fy = f(1,y);
figure
plot(y, fy)
Depending upon how you define the fuction and how you want to plot it, you may need: 
x = ones(size(y));
instead of the scalar value of 1.  
Then the plot call would be: 
figure
plot(y,f(x,y))
or
figure
surf(x,y,f(x,y))
Depending on how you wrote the function.
