Matlab doesn't open (though installed and activated)

I installed and activated Matlab, but it will not open on my mac. It pops up on the dashboard for a split second and then disappears, and never shows up (nor does it prompt me to reenter license information or anything like that). I have tried deleting MATLAB files from my library directory and that does not seem to solve the problem.

Are you using Catalina? Some people have reported problems with Catalina. Also which release are you using?

I'm having same issue as Claire Zarakas. My OS is Catalina. Matlab version is 2019b.

I finished the installation and activation but i couldn't open the application on my computer. It pop up in a split second and it just dissapear. Im using Matlab2020a.

Even for me too Matlab 2020b is not opening after I installed and activated using institution licence. I tried deleting previous prefdir but not helps. I have installed it on windows 10.
