nema 17 stepper motor not working with adafruit motor shield v2.3

i use a nema 17 stepper motor connected to adafruit v2.3 shield which is stacked by arduino uno.

matlab version 2018b

i used the code same as which is given in the tutorial given in matlab documentation.

iam getting an error:'please make sure the port and board type are correct'.

after i connect the arduino i get a message:Arduino uno detected and this device is ready for use with support package etc..

i repeatedly tried but i got he same error.

i have checked with the com port with arduino ide,it matches with what i have mentioned in the code.

pls give me a solution to this issue.
